One of the most beautiful areas of mountain meadows is found around Holzhau in the east of the nature park. The walking trail shown below, which can also be downloaded, will guide you past stunning meadows from Rechenberg-Bienenmühle to Holzhau.

There is the view towards Nassau to behold on the way back for a striking contrast. Many beautifully designed information boards provide information on Holzhau’s historical development, including topics such as farming estates, the cultivation and processing of flax, tourism and much more besides.
